Massillon home prices fall in the first quarter of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2017 in Massillon fell by $22,000 while total sales decreased by 12.8%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2017, there were 116 homes sold, with a median sale price of $60,000 - a 26.8% decrease over the $82,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 133 homes sold in Massillon in the first quarter of 2016.

The median sales tax in Massillon for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $2,481, approximately 4.1% of the median home sale price for the first quarter of 2017.
