By City ordinance, whenever the City experiences four inches of snow or more in a twenty four hour period, parking on all City streets is banned. Any parking ban will be preceded by a minimum of a one hour public notice. The City does its best to withhold the ban until necessary and until crews are ready to begin plowing back to the curb. Once a street has been fully plowed cars may again park, and as soon as the entire City has been plowed the ban is lifted. We understand the inconvenience this causes to those relying on on-street parking and appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation.
