Legislative Day

Nc legislature

North Canton Public Library issued the following announcement on Apr 7.

Legislative Day is a day organized by Ohio Library Council that allows library leaders from around the state the opportunity to meet with their area legislators. These meetings give library staff the chance to express gratitude for their legislators’ support of public libraries, and it also gives them the chance to share what their library has been doing to support its community.

Our director Andrea was beyond honored to meet with First Lady Fran DeWine this morning to thank her for her efforts in starting the Ohio Governor's Imagination Library, State Representative Scott Oelslager this afternoon to share what our Library has been doing to support our North Canton community, and staff from Senator Kirk Schuring’s office to share information on NCPL’s efforts to distribute COVID tests and make vaccines available to the community earlier this winter. We got to join forces with our friends from Stark Library, Massillon Public Library, Louisville Public Library, Minerva Public Library, Rodman Public Library, and Canal Fulton Public Library, too! A great day in Columbus, and we’re so grateful to so many for their support of public libraries — especially NCPL!
