Bob Davis Tribute Exhibit is June 16 through August 6.

Opening Reception: Thursday, June 16 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Hosted by FLAG Friends of the Little Art Gallery.

Bob A. Davis 1929-2018. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Davis enlisted in the US Army after graduation. He studied commercial art and retired as an Illustrator for Frease & Shorr Advertising. He traveled extensively doing chalk ministry and enjoyed looking for painting subjects. His artwork is in many corporate offices, museums and private collections, including Canton’s Christian Hall of Fame. He was a member of McDonaldsville Church, signature member of American Water Color Society and Ohio Water Color Society.

Artist statement: “There are unlimited opportunities for me to use what creative skills and personal insights that are God given. In my paintings I search for a subject that is exciting to me visually and also mentally challenging. Primarily I am a representational artist, trying not to only interpret the obvious, but also to invite the viewer to add his or her insights.” Bob Davis 1/04
