On Monday, September 19th, Ofc. Michael Mayle received a Life Saver commendation ribbon from Chief Frank Kemp Jr. for actions taken during a call from early August.
Ofc. Mayle responded to a suicidal person call and located the individual in a locked room. Visual intel showed that the individual was actively harming themselves so Ofc. Mayle kicked the locked door open, rushed to the patient, and provided lifesaving aid.
Ofc. Mayle is a 22-year veteran officer, spending a combined 19 years with the Stark County Sheriff’s Office and another 3 years with the Henderson Police Department in the Las Vegas, Nevada area. He joined the North Canton Police Department full-time in January of 2022 and has been an exceptional addition to the agency
