Ofc. Patrick Lewis received a Life Saver commendation ribbon

On Wednesday, October 12th, Ofc. Patrick Lewis received a Life Saver commendation ribbon from Chief Frank Kemp Jr. for actions taken during a call in late September.

Ofc. Lewis responded to Price Park in reference to a person who had possibly fallen into the pond. Upon his arrival he found an elderly female clinging to the concrete base of the gazebo. The temperature that morning was in the 40’s, and the patient could not summons the strength to move. Ofc. Lewis quickly removed his gun belt and entered the water. He physically carried the patient the short distance to shore, where she was attended to by the medics.

Ofc. Lewis has been a full-time officer with North Canton for a little over 7 years. He is also a member of the Canton Regional SWAT Team serving as a sniper and had previously spent 6 years in the Marine Corps Reserves as an infantry rifleman. Great job Ofc. Lewis!
