Where do you live (city/area)?
I was born and raised in Burton City, Ohio. I moved to Orrville when I got married – 66 years ago – and have been here ever since!
When did you begin volunteering at Aultman Health Foundation?
I have been volunteering at Aultman Orrville for over 20 years.
In what departments do you volunteer at Aultman Orrville Hospital?
I volunteer in Registration and assist throughout the lobby.
How did you decide to be a volunteer?
I was newly retired from being a realtor and wanted to do something good. My aunt was a volunteer, and she encouraged me to become one.
What do you like best about volunteering?
It’s a fun day out of the house. I greatly enjoy my team.
What are some of your hobbies/interests outside of volunteering?
I enjoy bowling, and I am an avid reader (on my iPad). I like to exercise at Aultman Sports & Wellness. In addition, I used to be a member of the Red Hat Society, I love playing cards, and I really enjoy watching HGTV.
Tell us about your loved ones.
My husband and I have five sons, five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Tell us something interesting about yourself that many of your friends do not know.
I like to watch old movies – Turner Classics!
