Stark County Sheriff George T. Maier is happy to announce that a wanted criminal attempting to stop Christmas from coming has been taken into custody.
On Friday, December 16, 2022, The Grinch was spotted in Summit County by Summit County Sheriff's Deputies. Being aware of the ongoing search in Stark County, Summit County Deputies took The Grinch into custody without incident.
The Grinch was then transported to the Stark County Jail where he was booked into the facility on charges of theft, breaking and entering, and other charges.
“Despite this one staring down with a Grinchy frown, we could not let him disrupt the warm lighted windows across our towns,” explained Sheriff George T. Maier.
The Grinch will remain in custody until next week when he is expected to go before Massillon Municipal Court Judge, Edward Elum on Wednesday, December 21st.
