The City of Alliance is accepting applications for a full-time Equipment Operator for the Street Department. Street – perform tasks necessary to carry out the duties of the Street Department. Which are primarily to perform snow and ice control on the city streets and alleys, maintain road surfaces and their associated drainage, clean city streets, collect leaves , maintain traffic directions, maintain the departments’ equipment and facilities, and to otherwise maintain public right of ways. Assist other City Departments as needed. The position is a 40 hour work week starting at $17.40 an hour.
Also a full-time Utility Serviceman for the Distribution Department: Distribution – perform tasks necessary to carry out the duties of the Distribution Department, which are primarily to construct, install and maintain water and sewer lines and their appurtenances; to maintain and repair equipment associated with the water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs and dams, water towers and lift stations. Assist other City Departments as needed. The position is a 40 hour work week starting at $18.44 an hour.
