We have so many outstanding employees at the North Canton Public Library. A few you don't often see, because they work behind the scenes! We want to spotlight our Technical Services crew that work to process new books, repair items, and catalogs the items.

Meet Donna!

Donna has worked at the library for 22 years. She catalogs most of our children’s items and DVDs. She creates and prints the labels that go on books and audio visual materials. Donna mends books and other items when they are starting to show wear and tear, but the library isn’t ready to take them out of the collection yet.

“I love my job and have great people to work with. My job has many facets. Primarily, I catalog Juvenile books and audio-visual materials, which include DVDs, CDs and talking Books, but I also help catalog adult books at times. When items come in damaged, I repair them if possible. Scratched discs go into a machine that buffs the discs, and I operate that machine. The variety of my responsibilities is challenging and gratifying.”
